It all began with a cause very close to my heart in honor of my dad and our family.
Caroline Lenher started Coaching for Causes in 2022 to raise money for non-profits close to her heart. The American Brain Tumor Association benefits in honor of and in memory of her dad, George. Her second cause is Big Brother’s Big Sisters’ creating mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Caroline has been a proud “Big” since 2021.
Realizing that there is power in numbers, Caroline invited fellow coaches to join the program and share their stories to support the causes closest to them. Giving coaching time in exchange for supporting so many impactful, important and meaningful causes feels to all of us like the least we can do to support those in need of coaching support as well as causes and charities making our communities and world a better place.

Lei supports the Alzheimer's Association
I am proud to support the Alzheimer's Association through Coaching for Causes, a heartfelt initiative that resonates deeply with my personal journey. My father, a vibrant and loving presence in my life, faced the daunting challenge of early-onset Alzheimer's and dementia. As his daughter, I cherished our bond—a daddy's girl through and through. Witnessing his vibrant spirit gradually fade was a profoundly difficult experience for me and my family, marking a journey of love, loss, and transformation. Known for his boundless energy and generosity, he was a beacon of support in our community, always ready to lend a hand or light up any gathering. His legacy of kindness and resilience inspires my commitment to this cause, honoring his memory and supporting others navigating this difficult path.

Matt supports School on Wheels
While I'm a coach first, I'm really a teacher at heart. I truly believe in the transformative impact that education has, particularly for young people. I've volunteered with School on Wheels, which is an incredible organization that provides educational support and tutoring services for students in need. The work they are doing is incredible, and it's been a rewarding experience to provide my time and support to make sure every student has access and resources to experience a transformative education!

Jan supports Fight Colorectal Cancer, Ocean Conservancy, Project Street Vet
Vital organizations supporting individuals and their loved ones impacted by cancer hold a very special place in my heart. I lost both my husband (esophageal cancer) and my mother (colorectal cancer) to this devastating disease. Fight Colorectal Cancer and other outstanding nonprofit organizations are doing amazing work in the search to find a cure for gastrointestinal cancers.
I’m a thalassophile (someone who loves the sea, ocean and large bodies of water deeply) and wholeheartedly support the Ocean Conservancy’s vision, mission and programs. Some of my most joyful moments have been communing with dolphins and sea turtles. Plastic pollution is a major threat; we MUST protect our oceans and marine life.
I admire the work that Project Street Vet, Dr. Kwane Stewart and his team are doing and would love to see this initiative expand nationwide.

Bri supports the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA)
A diagnosis of a brain tumor in 2017 opened Bri's eyes to what's most important in life. She was introduced to the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) when a friend made a donation in her name. Since that initial donation, Bri has increased her involvement through proceeds from her book, volunteering at BT5Ks, serving on the Volunteer Led Advisory Counsel, and mentoring both patients and caregivers through their brain tumor journey. Join her in helping the ABTA "Meet Hope Head On" in their goal of raising $50 million in five years.

Krysta Supports Seeds of Peace and Mary’s Place
With dear friends in both Israel and Gaza, my heart is aching with the protracted and escalating conflict. Seeds of Peace is committed to transforming legacies of conflict into the courage to lead change. Their flagship program brings youth from conflict zones together for transformative experiences that shift attitudes and perceptions of the “other” and build respect and empathy. In my years working at their summer camp in Maine, I repeatedly witnessed sworn enemies develop the ability to listen to each other, build respect, care, and friendships that transcended political ideologies. Alumni are challenging the ideologies, policies, and practices that perpetuate conflict and are helping to build a more peaceful future. Now, more than ever, we need courageous compassionate leaders to forage a path to peace in the region.
When my daughter was born with extra healthcare needs, we met several amazing hardworking families that were facing similar challenges and were faced with the unthinkable “choice” between getting their baby the medical care they needed or paying for rent and other basic needs. The inhumanity of these ‘choices’ is heartbreaking. Mary’s Place’s mission is to ensure that no child sleeps outside by centering equity and opportunity for women and families. This incredible organization provides shelter and wrap around services to women and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Becca supports The Celebrate Life Foundation
I created The Celebrate Life Foundation in memory of my mom, Clare Boland Baier, who celebrated life to the fullest through love, kindness, and enjoying the little things. Clare was a mother of 7, grandmother of 4 (and there are 8 more now), sister to 11 siblings, an aunt, a coach and teammate, a best friend, classmate, and so much more. She was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer in October 2013 and celebrated life with each day she had left.
When someone applies for or is nominated to receive financial support from the Foundation, they’re able to use the gifted funds to create a positive impact in their life. This could be anything from paying down medical bills or creating memories through celebrations and adventures, taking a moment’s break from being sick. We believe in making small differences, one celebration and recipient at a time.

Britt supports Southern Paws & the Celebrate Life Foundation
Since the moment I was born, I've been surrounded by four-legged companions. At a very young age, I learned that there are many animals out there in need of care--of rescuing. So, when my husband and I decided to adopt our first dog, I knew we wanted to rescue. We found an incredible rescue in Southern Paws, Inc., a NJ-based non-profit 501c3 that works closely with rescues and shelters in the Southern US. They work tirelessly with these shelters to provide them with needed resources and funding and to bring pups up from the south for adoption, like our pup, Goose.
Goose has provided my husband and I with new and exciting ways to celebrate the little things in our life. And the Celebrate Life Foundation does the exact same thing. The Celebrate Life Foundation is an organization that focuses on helping people facing life-threatening illnesses find small ways to celebrate their life. They collect funds from fun and interactive community events and work with patient families to create celebratory experiences that enhance their quality of life. After attending these events myself, I've seen first-hand the impact of the organization, not only on the people it serves, but on the community members who participate in the events themselves.

Denise supports the Susan G. Komen and Boston Children’s Hospital
My mom is one of over 4 million women in the U.S. to thankfully be a breast cancer survivor. After her diagnosis with stage 3 breast cancer, I have an increased understanding of the need for early detection and early prevention. Susan G. Komen’s vision is a world without breast cancer. Komen supports women not having to face breast cancer alone and invests in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
Boston Children’s Hospital is one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States. For over 150 years, Boston Children’s Hospital’s vision has been to advance pediatric care worldwide. My first experience with death of a loved one was a childhood friend, Jenny. Her tenacity and positivity as she battled leukemia left a life changing impression on me. I am supporting Boston Children’s Hospital in honor of Jenny’s memory along with other children I know now that are fighting cancer and heart disease.

Antoinette supports Runway to Hope
Runway to Hope is deeply committed to aiding families facing the challenges of pediatric cancer. Their comprehensive support encompasses financial assistance, hospital and research funding, invaluable community partnerships, and more. This organization holds a special place in my heart, as they provided crucial support during my nephew Cayden's battle with cancer. I am grateful to say that Cayden successfully completed treatments and now enjoys the vibrant, joyful life every 11-year-old deserves. The support from Runway to Hope not only provided practical help but also instilled hope and comfort during my family's darkest days.
